William Joplin challenged for the Dynasty Combat Sports professional bantamweight title at DCS 44. Commentary described his defensive shell as Tyson-like — a high, tight cover he fights out of — and noted the looping shots he lands from behind it. That title fight became one of the more unusual nights in DCS history: the bout was halted by lightning at an outdoor event, and because more than half of the second round had been completed, the rules sent it to the judges' scorecards rather than a no-contest.
